PrETTy BoY! Shhh...

This post has to be kept a little secret from my husband.

SHHH...

He doesn't want everyone to know he's a bit of a "pretty boy!" Once the kids caught on to how touchy he is about his hair it was all over.

I laughed so hard I'm lucky I didn't pee my pants.

22 Months

I've only got a couple more months before my
baby is two!
I'm wondering if anyone knows how to slow
time down a bit???
I spend a lot of time everyday kissing these
cheeks...
so irresistible!
I know she won't be small for long so I
just wanted to take a little time to savour her
Sweetness!

Monkeys...

This is what we do at our house when it's cold outside and we have to get out some serious energy!

Two little monkeys jumping in the bed...

happily none fell out or bonked their head!

GIMPpa and SLURP...
I told my family tonight if we keep this
ridiculous medical streak up people are
going to think we are unlucky and turn
and run from us when they see us coming.
I mean really,
what would you think if you saw these 2
walking down the street together?
LUCKILY :)
they are both healing great.
The main concern with Jett is just keeping
him fed and entertained.
He has at least
another 6 weeks no school or crazy
"boy" activities.
We've got to figure out a safe way for him to
get some energy out.
Dr. Nakken did a great job of reattaching my
Dads pointer finger.
Only time will tell how much
function he'll get out of it.
And his middle finger that he kept telling the ER
physician just needed a
"band aid"
in fact was also cut pretty bad
and had to have some tendons reattached as well.

Needless to say
I don't have any desire to see the inside of a hospital
any time soon.

Artist in Recovery

Just last week I was thinking that with all the
recent medical experiences my family has been
through lately we should be safe for a while...
RIGHT?
This morning as I'm waking Kennedy up to start our
morning rituals I hear the loudest knock ever at my
back door.
Something inside me said "stay calm."
I opened the door to see my Dad standing there with a
fist full of blood, dripping onto my porch.
He calmly states
"I've cut my finger real bad, I need to go to insta-care"
I listened to the voice I had just heard in my head
and replied with "how bad is it"
"All the way through the bone!" were the words
I heard that sent me flying off to gather my
little ones in 10 seconds and be off to the ER.
Right now as I type he is waiting to go into
surgery to get his right pointer finger reattached.

My Dad is the most amazing wood craftsman.
He's made a lot of furniture for my house, but
most recently he has become obsessed with making
the wooden vases in the picture above.
I don't know why he's favorite hobbies have
to involve sharp blades and fast bicycles!
Unfortunately I know this won't slow him down a bit.
I am incredibly grateful for FAMILIES and the knowledge
of my HEAVENLY FATHERS love for me!
Without either of these life would be unbearable.
