Anything but Perfect

Diana this is for you...
So this is going to be a bit of a different post. I'm having one of those
"worthless Mommy days."
My life isn't all rainbows and happy moments...
Share with me a moment of truth.
Sometimes I think my husband is a total fart! and...
Sometimes I bite the hairspray lid while doing my kids hair so I don't bop one of them on the head with the brush. and...
Sometimes I ponder hiding somewhere in my house to see how much time I could get all to myself.
Seriously I'm getting a good laugh at myself...
I hope this makes you feel a little better about yourself today.

This afternoon while getting Carter ready for school I let my baby get out all the Q-tips, and stick them all in her mouth. And I loved every moment of it, cause she wasn't screaming at my feet. I can't wait to see what Dan has to say next time he cleans his ear with a soggy Q-tip! I think I'll tell him a bunch of them fell in the toilet and I fished them out and put them back in the box. LOL!!

Some much needed SUNSHINE!

We escaped the snow and went to San Diego
for my Niece... Makenna's Baptism and some much
needed SUNSHINE!
Here's some pictures from our travels.

Kennedy jumped her little heart out.
She's been begging me for a trampoline ever since.

One of the days we went to the zoo.
Addison was so happy to be outside, and so
was her Mommy.

The Panda's were my favorite.
I was trying to figure out how to jump the little
fence and give him a big squeeze!
I know... I know Panda's a not as lovable
as they look. But dang they are so stinkin' cute.

The beach was beautiful and I love these rocks!
Truly the moss was that green.

Makenna, William, Carter, and Kennedy
My sister-in-law Wendi and I had Makenna
and Kennedy 3 months apart and William is
only a couple of weeks older than Carter.
I found myself wishing they would have
kept the pattern when I had Addison.
Addy spent most of her awake time
torturing their cats.
Sorry guys!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

For those of you I don't get to talk to as often as I'd like... here's an update on the job status. Dan got a call back last week and he will have his same job at Western Quality Foods for at least another couple of months, and maybe longer if they find another contract in that amount of time.

Of course we are excited!

We are getting pretty good and just staying calm and taking one day at a time. When I was growing up my Dad had a famous saying it went like this "Life is what happens when you have something else planned" I thought he was just old and weird, but now that I'm getting older and definatly weird it makes a lot of sense.

So yesterday it was confirmed that Dan's employer Western Quality Foods will be laying off about 80 of their 110 employees due to a contract pulled by Nestle. We're pretty sure Dan will be one of the unfortunate 80. We both immediately started to feel that yucky ache in our stomachs, which got worse as I let my mind go nuts with all the scary details of having our main income source and insurance gone. As the day when on I must admit I let that fear turn me into quite the scary monster. But as I did my usual routine with our kids, said prayers and tucked each of them into bed, gratitude for all my blessings hit me with a flood of emotion. I have 3 amazing children, and a husband who are all healthy! What more could I ask for. With all the trials others are facing right now some how a job loss doesn't seem so bad. In fact I feel pretty selfish for the little pity party I started throwing for myself.

Dan still has his amazing sense of humor, and he's almost got me convinced a lemonade stand in the summer will be a huge money maker. If that fails he says DI needs a handy man in the bike department. Whatever it may be I'm certain we will be okay!

I have a little catching up to do... I know I'm a slacker. My niece JaCoy turned the BIG 16, a couple of weeks ago. It doesn't seem like that long ago I was her age and she was only 3. Seriously where does the time go? She teases me that when she has kids I will be their Great Aunt Au... Scary I know, I think I'll have them call me just THE GREAT AU! Makes me sound like a magical wizard!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY 'COY
I LOVE YOU!
