Family Pictures

Abbey Kyhl took our pictures while my brother and
his family were here for Thanksgiving.
She did a fantastic job at capturing some fun personality!
If you want to see the rest just click on her link .

So have you ever had a picture speak to you?
I know it sounds weird, but this one does!
I'm so glad she got one of just the three of us...

Thankful!!

Dan is constantly reminding our kids to be reverent
during our family prayers,
and then mid prayer the other night we are all startled by
the flash of the camera...
"I couldn't help myself" was his only excuse.
I'm so glad he captured Addison's single moment
of complete reverence.
One of Addy's favorite games is hide and seek
and my favorite part is while she's trying to find me
she repeats...
" I see you "
over and over again until she finds me.
Her job everyday is to keep me smiling, she is so good at it!

Holiday Beginings!

For some odd reason I kinda dig Halloween!
I had a great idea to do a Witch and Wizard
theme this year, but what boy wouldn't rather
be dark and mysterious?

Michael and JaCoy did homeless so well!

Just recently Addison started calling her
Aunt Nicole "Bob"
I think it's so funny so I tend to encourage it
maybe a little too much.
Addy loves her Auntie!

Jett - Always keeping us laughing.
Best Costume for sure!

Mexico Bliss!!

Other than my little dramatic hospital visit and
and an incident at the pool with Jett needing a few
stitches in his chin, the rest of the vacation was just
as it should be...
PURE BLISS!

If you haven't visited this vacation spot just know
it is as glorious as it looks in photos...
and yes it's a little depressing to come home.
I just have to keep telling myself there is always
next year.
(As long as our Doctor friends come)
Kennedy is looking off the balcony in our room.

Kennedy's friend Luckaia was sick one of the days and so this
was there creative way of playing and not sharing germs.

Carter was pals with the big boys this year, He loved every second of playing in the pool!

What could be better that playing your mini guitar while watching the sun set!

Update from Mexico 2009

Our family trip to Mexico this year has been anything
but normal. We usually have a couple of Doctors that
come with a big group of us every year or at least someone
that can speak Spanish... but not this year.
If you're reading this, you know who you are...

WE'VE MISSED YOU!

I put a big twist on things this year that put me in the hands
of the Mexican Doctors with a difficult language barrier!
If you know me well, you know I have a problem with
chewing my food small enough for my narrow esophagus.

Well it happened again!

This time it was chicken, and because the border was almost closed we found the nearest emergency clinic that was about the size of a small gas station, and not much cleaner! After a lot of drama and some language confusion they decided to try and push the chicken down with this tube. It hurt like crazy and gave me a new definition to the word GAG!

$200.00 later and a lot of tears the
chicken was still stuck.
I had to wait until the next morning to drive
the nearest real "Hospital" 4 hours away.
I obviously didn't sleep, the pain got so bad during
the night. It felt like I had 200 pounds resting on my chest
and I could feel my esophagus swelling making it hard for
me to breath.
I just kept praying I could wait until the next day.

My sister kept our kids in Mexico and Dan and I drove to Phoenix Arizona.

Finally at about 3 that afternoon they put me out and scoped me.
The Doctor said my esophagus was so swollen he had to cut the
chicken into pieces to get it to all go down.

I was so happy to have it all over!

The picture below were with my ER nurses.
They gave me so much crap about chewing
my food properly, I didn't like them much
until it was all over.
There is something about people that think it's funny to
tease me when I'm in pain that makes me want
to throw big items at their head!

We are coming home tomorrow, I will post the fun pictures soon.
