Artist in Recovery

Just last week I was thinking that with all the
recent medical experiences my family has been
through lately we should be safe for a while...
RIGHT?
This morning as I'm waking Kennedy up to start our
morning rituals I hear the loudest knock ever at my
back door.
Something inside me said "stay calm."
I opened the door to see my Dad standing there with a
fist full of blood, dripping onto my porch.
He calmly states
"I've cut my finger real bad, I need to go to insta-care"
I listened to the voice I had just heard in my head
and replied with "how bad is it"
"All the way through the bone!" were the words
I heard that sent me flying off to gather my
little ones in 10 seconds and be off to the ER.
Right now as I type he is waiting to go into
surgery to get his right pointer finger reattached.

My Dad is the most amazing wood craftsman.
He's made a lot of furniture for my house, but
most recently he has become obsessed with making
the wooden vases in the picture above.
I don't know why he's favorite hobbies have
to involve sharp blades and fast bicycles!
Unfortunately I know this won't slow him down a bit.
I am incredibly grateful for FAMILIES and the knowledge
of my HEAVENLY FATHERS love for me!
Without either of these life would be unbearable.

Marven the BRAVE!

My nephew Jett is going in for surgery this afternoon.
He is having a major surgery to correct his severe
under bite. His surgeon Dr Morales is AMAZING, he has
preformed two previous surgeries on Jett and he is
the same one that did Carters head reconstruction.
We have great confidence in his abilities.
Please keep Jett in your thoughts and prayers today!
Nicole and I have created a blog to keep everyone
posted on his progress.
The link is on the left titled "Marven the Brave"

Seriously this kid keeps me on my toes and laughing
all day. Yes those are her brothers underwear on her
head! She loves hats so most things end up on her head
somehow...
Addison is a parrot right now, she repeats
everything we say so naturally I'm nervous anytime she
comes up with a new catchy phrase but after her new one
tonight I realized maybe we're a lot nicer than I thought...
"HI HONEY"
So cute when she says it to the characters in her books.
....................................................................................
On a side note, my brother Jared went back to work today!
The Doctors can call it modern medicine,
but I believe in MIRACLES!
Thank You for your prayers in our behalf.
He is doing awesome and now has more than one Mother
telling him to slow down and take better care of himself.

Let me introduce you to my new HERO...

My 33 year old brother Jared who had a double stroke on Tuesday. Initally he was unable to speek and had no movement on the right side of his body, but a few short hours after a CT scan and blood thinning medication he was shocking the Doctors and his panicked family with his miraculous turn around!!!

We didn't believe him so we had to go see him for ourselves.

I haven't stopped thanking my Heavenly Father for the many miricles that our family has been blessed with since Tuesday!!!

I know what you're thinking, you're thinking
I'm CRAZY and got my kids a puppy.
Come on you know me better than that, I always
let Nicole try new adventures first.
JaCoy has begged for a puppy since she was tiny.
And yes I helped with the negotiation process,
actually I just taught her the proper begging techniques.
It worked!!!
Let me introduce you to Mylee.
She is a Teacup Yorkie, she is so sweet and
we all love her very much.
And yes my kids especially Kennedy has cried
every time we leave Aunt 'Coles house.
I'm just not ready for another baby yet?!?
